When is the Kia CPO warranty applied?

I’m a bargain hunter, so I only buy certified pre-owned vehicles. The Kia dealership near me has plenty of these types of models, but I want to make sure that the warranty still works. When does Kia apply the CPO warranty?

The Kia
certified pre-owned (CPO)
warranty applies as soon as the original owner drives the car off the lot. When you purchase the vehicle, you get the remainder of the 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty and the 5-year/60,000-mile basic car warranty.
For example, if the CPO is two years old and has 22,000 miles, you’d still have a powertrain warranty for 8 years and 78,000 miles and a basic warranty for 3 years or 38,000 miles—whichever comes first.
