I’m a bargain hunter, so I only buy certified pre-owned vehicles. The Kia dealership near me has plenty of these types of models, but I want to make sure that the warranty still works. When does Kia apply the CPO warranty?

warranty applies as soon as the original owner drives the car off the lot. When you purchase the vehicle, you get the remainder of the 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty and the 5-year/60,000-mile basic car warranty.For example, if the CPO is two years old and has 22,000 miles, you’d still have a powertrain warranty for 8 years and 78,000 miles and a basic warranty for 3 years or 38,000 miles—whichever comes first.
