When driving in fog, what should you use on your vehicle?

I just moved to an area where fog is prevalent. Since I’ve never driven in fog, I’m a bit lost about what to do. What should I use on my vehicle? What are some other tips for driving in fog?

Fog can always present a problem, especially if you’ve never driven in
weather
like it before. So before you drive in fog, here are a few tips:
  • Use your fog lights if you have them.
  • Never use your high beams, as this can reflect the fog and also cause confusion for other drivers.
  • Pull over to the side of the road if the fog is too thick. If you decide to do this, turn off your lights to avoid collisions from other drivers trying to follow you.
  • Use your windshield wipers if moisture collects.
  • Leave plenty of distance between you and other drivers so you can stop as necessary.
Driving in fog is never fun. But one other thing that’s not fun is spending too much money on your car insurance. That’s when
