trunk size is 19.2 cubic feet with the rear seats in the upright position. If you fold the seats down, however, you can get up to 45.8 cu ft. Compared to other compact SUVs in its class, the Kona’s cargo space is a bit limited. If you really need room for gear, you may want to look at other options. However, keep in mind that US News and World Report did just rank the Kona #1 in its list of subcompact SUVs, so you may want to take one out for a test drive despite the lack of cargo space.
