What’s the Ford Bronco’s towing capacity?

I’ve had a Ford Bronco for nearly 30 years, but I’m thinking of trading it in to buy one of the new ones that are coming out. My current Bronco can tow anything—do the new ones measure up? How much weight can a Ford Bronco tow?

The
Ford Bronco
has definitely earned its place as one of the great forefathers of the SUV class, so it was a surprise when the Bronco was finally corralled in 1996. But it wasn’t a surprise that the Bronco was updated and reintroduced into an invigorated SUV market in recent years—although the new ones can’t quite hold a candle to the old.
A 2022 Ford Bronco’s towing capacity is 3,340 to 3,500 pounds, while a 1996 model could haul up to 7,000 pounds. The maximum weight can vary depending on the year, trim, and engine, of course.
New or old, keep your Bronco running strong for years to come by making sure you’ve got adequate
car insurance
coverage. Consider
mechanical breakdown insurance
on top of traditional coverage to keep your Brongo in tip-top shape for the long haul.
