Not only do different model years vary, so too do different models. Let’s take a look at some of the least expensive, most reliable, and best years for used Volvos you can buy:
- Volvo S60 T5, 2009, $5,000 to $8,000: This high performing Volvo comes with one of the most desirable engines, the B5244T5, making it less prone to cracked blocks. This model is less complex than some of the newer Volvos on the market, making it lighter, more reliable, and more affordable overall.
- Volvo C30 T5, 2013, $4,500 to $9,500: Built on the Ford P1 Platform, this Volvo has plenty of compatibility with aftermarket brakes, suspension, and running gear. While the R design models come with a sportier suspension and slight interior upgrades, you’ll be better off spending money on a well maintained C30 in your price range.
- Volvo S80orXC90, 2014, $3,000 to $7,000: Luxurious, affordable, and practical, you can’t go wrong with an S80 Sedan or XC90. If you need some extra space to transport your kids, Volvo is known for having the best, safest seats around. Plus, with a rev-happy engine, these Volvos are enjoyable to drive.
