What’s the best way to drive from Pennsylvania to Maine? I’m trying to decide how I want to get there to visit family and I think I’d rather drive than fly so I can bring lots of stuff!
takes just over 10 hours to complete! Here’s how to do it:
From your hometown, navigate to I-380 S/I-84 E.
Keep left to stay on I-84 E as you enter New York.
Stay on I-84 E through New York into Massachusetts, then exit to I-90 E toward Boston/N.H.
Merge onto I-290 E toward Worcester.
Take exit 32B on the left to merge onto I-495 N toward Lowell.
Continue to exit 60, then merge onto I-95 N, which you’ll use to enter Maine! From there, you can navigate to whichever city you plan to visit.
At current gas prices, this trip should cost you $102.26 each way, plus any food and other travel expenses that you incur along the way. If you choose to fly instead, you could pay over $300 to $500 round-trip. Driving is definitely the more economical choice!
