to Virginia will take you about 14 hours, depending on where you leave from and your final destination—but it’s definitely a doable drive! Here’s the best route from Maine to Virginia:
Take I-95 S out of Maine.
Take exit 89, then continue onto I-495 S.
Take exit 65B to merge onto I-290 W.
Take exit 12A for I-90 W, then take exit 78 and continue onto I-84.
Use I-91 S to get to CT-15 S, which you can take through Connecticut.
Continue onto Hutchinson River Pkwy S as you enter New York. You can also stop here for the night if you haven’t stopped already.
You’ll need to take a few different roads as you drive through New York, but keep following the signs for I-95 Lower Level S.
Once you’re on I-95 S, continue until you reach NJ Tpke S.
Take NJ Tpke S to merge onto I-295 S, then continue onto I-95 S.
Exit to I-895 S and begin following the signs for Washington, D.C..
As you leave D.C., merge onto I-395 S and take that interstate into Virginia. From there, follow the signs for whatever town you need!
