That’s great you’re heading home to visit your family! The best route from Destin, Florida, to Atlanta, Georgia, takes I-85 N. It covers a distance of 320 miles and is about a *5 hour and 27 minute drive.
Here’s how to get there:
- Get onto US-98 E/Harbor Blvd
- Follow FL-293 N and FL-285 N to US-90 E in Walton County
- Turn onto FL-293 N
- Take the FL-285 exit toward I-10 E/Niceville/Mossy Head
- Merge onto FL-285 N
- Take Co Hwy 1087, US-331 N and US-84 E to AL-87 N/Neil Grantham Dr in Elba
- Follow AL-87 N to US-231 N in Troy
- Continue on US-231 N to Bullock County
- Continue on Bullock County 37 to Montgomery County
- Follow I-85 N to Fulton St SW in Atlanta. Take exit 246 from I-85 N
