What’s the best road trip route from Atlanta to Denver?
What’s the best way to get from Atlanta to Denver? I’m trying to make the trip fun because my husband hates driving, so I’m hoping that turning it into a road trip will make him have a better time.
On your first day, drive to Nashville, Tennessee. There are lots of fun things to do (and great places to eat!) in Nashville, so it’s definitely worth the stop. You can spend some time exploring the city before moving on the next day.
Day two: drive to Kansas City, Kansas. Unfortunately, there aren’t a lot of things to do or see along this stretch of the trip. However, the city is home to some excellent barbecue!
Take your final day to finish the drive to Denver! There aren’t many places to stop along the way during this stretch of the drive, either but try to take regular breaks to avoid carsickness, cramping, etc.
In total, this trip will require about 21 hours and 20 minutes of driving, but you can make it seem much shorter by taking regular breaks, staying well-fed and hydrated, and getting plenty of sleep.
