- Wave goodbye to all your tech-titan friends and flee the Bay Area, before stopping inSacramento, where you can reinvigorate your belief in government (or not) with a tour of the State Capitol
- Continue heading east and stop in Reno, the Littlest Big City in the World, to gamble like the carpetbagger you are or go rafting and then do a pub crawl through town
- Once you’ve recovered the next day, head east to pass through Salt Lake City, where you can stretch your legs with a walk through the beautiful Red Butte Gardens
- Continue your eastward trek with a drive through Southern Wyoming’s plateaus, and make a stop in Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest and Thunder Basin National Grassland, which stretches more than 2.9 million acres from Wyoming through Colorado
