The 2023 Kia Sorento’s
release date is expected to be late-summer 2023. Though after 2022’s major redesign, the 2023 won’t look that different. Still, there are a good number of smaller changes to the 2023 Sorento, including a third row of seats where full-grown adults can sit comfortably. Even with that third row of seating, the Sorento manages to remain in the small SUV category, though—and pulls it off with panache.
The base-trim Sorento LX, starting at $27,285 will be available with a 2.5L four-cylinder engine, as well as an optional 2.5L turbocharged engine boasting 282 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque. Both a hybrid and plug-in hybrid will be available, as well.
Geared toward off-roading, a new addition to the 2023 Sorento lineup is the highly anticipated X-Pro, which is expected to cost $35,785. It will likely include all-terrain tires, a rejigged suspension, off-road drive modes, a heated windshield, LED fog lights, and all-wheel drive.
The interior should be comfortable and spacious, considering its three rows of seats and a slew of new tech and driver-assist technology. You’ll have a 10.25-inch touchscreen with Apple Carplay and Android Auto capability, USB ports, and a slew of other tech goodies.
