What’s the 2023 Honda Civic’s release date?
We promised our daughter a new car if she graduated college, and she did—with a perfect 4.0 GPA and an invitation to join Mensa. We’re very impressed. We’re thinking about a Honda Civic, and we’d like to get her a new one. What’s the release date for the 2023 Honda Civic?

The 2023
Honda Civic’s
release date is expected to be between the end of August and early October 2022. Since Honda released a freshly redesigned Civic for 2022, the 2023s aren’t expected to be that different. That being said, there are some changes.
The newest wrinkle in the 2023 Civic lineup will be the re-introduction of the Honda Civic Type R Hatchback. Based on the body of the 11th-generation Civic, the newest Type R will be a hot hatch and is expected to produce around 300 horsepower. Not much else is known about the Type R, but it’s expected to sell for between $30,000 and $40,000.
There’s been no word yet on a hybrid Civic for 2023 in the U.S., but there will be a hybrid Civic on sale in Europe for 2023. It won’t be a surprise if Honda brings the hybrid across the pond in 2024.
