What year were electric car windows introduced in cars?

My first car had crank windows; I don't remember when power windows became standard. What year were electric car windows introduced?

Great question. Though they were uncommon for years after their invention,
electric windows
were first introduced in 1941.
Ford Motors added the first power windows to a Lincoln Custom. Using a hydroelectric mechanism, the new power-assisted windows originated from the desire to move convertible tops up and down easier.
The previous version of electric windows was vacuum-operated but would be inoperable whenever the car wasn’t running. Automakers had to figure out how to send power to the windows even when the car wasn’t running. Much trial and error have brought electric-powered windows to where they are today.
