- PHEV stands for Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle.
- Technically, the first plug-in hybrid made by Ford was called “Fusion Energi”, and it was built on the Ford platform.
- In 2019, Fusion Energi was updated with new battery technology which led to gas mileage ratings of 43 mpg city/41 mpg highway.
