It’s smart to understand your warranty before deciding to modify your car. Your Dodge warranty can be voided by damage caused by aftermarket modifications, damage due to poor vehicle maintenance, or repairs needed after a car accident.
A limited factory warranty is designed to protect against workmanship-related defects or malfunctions. Your Dodge warranty will not cover any parts that were not on your vehicle when it left the factory, nor will it cover damage caused by carelessness or recklessness.
For example, if you go off-road in a Dodge that wasn’t built for such an activity, any damage sustained as a result doesn’t qualify for a warranty-covered repair. If your interior gets ruined because you left your windows down during a storm, you’ll be responsible for handling the cost to fix it on your own.
