Honda Civic
requires 5W-20 grade synthetic motor oil in order to function properly.The grade of the oil you buy is an indicator of the viscosity, or thickness, of the oil. Using an oil of an incorrect viscosity can clog your oil filter, causing problems with your fuel system and, eventually, with the rest of your engine. As such, make sure that the oil you buy for your husband’s car is 5W-20!
