To change your oil, here’s what you’ll need:
Socket wrench
Drain pan
Replacement filter
Filter wrench
5 quarts of Mobil 1 - Extended Performance 5W-30 Full Synthetic Motor Oil
Follow these steps to change your oil:
Run your engine for a few minutes to get it up to operating temperature
Remove the oil cap
Get under your engine, remove the oil drain bolt and washer, then drain the G37’s old oil into the drain pan
Remove the old oil filter as well
Install a new oil filter
Replace the old drain bolt with a new washer and tighten it to 29 lb-ft
Pour 5 quarts of 5W-30 Full Synthetic Motor Oil into your engine
Consult your dipstick to ensure the engine has enough oil
Run the Infiniti for a few minutes to ensure there are no leaks
Infiniti recommends changing your oil every 7,500 to 10,000 miles if you are using a synthetic motor oil, but you should check your oil on a regular basis. You may need to change your oil sooner if you notice any of the following:
The oil is dark brown or black in color (it should be light brown or amber)
