What SUV is comparable to the GMC Acadia?
I was ready to sign on the dotted line for a new Acadia, but I left it at the altar, so to speak. The Acadia just wasn’t… exciting me. I mean, sure it caught my eye with its striking-yet-elegant red paint job, roomy interior, and ruggedness. And I can’t lie, we had a wonderful time together on that test drive, hoo-boy. But I can’t seem to keep my wandering eye from, well… wandering. What SUV is comparable to the GMC Acadia?

Fortunately, if the
GMC Acadia
isn’t setting your heart on fire, there are plenty of competing options. SUVs comparable to the GMC Acadia include the
Kia Telluride
and the Ford Bronco Sport
. Both value-packed vehicles have more to offer than the Acadia, but all three are similarly priced.The Kia Telluride is one of the best all-around three-row SUVs you can find. And with a starting price of $37,025, it features an airy cabin that’s ridiculously well-appointed even at the base trim level, leaving GMC’s acceptably classy aesthetic in the dust. You also get a smooth, quiet, and composed ride courtesy of its naturally-aspirated V6 engine that boasts 292 horsepower.
The Ford Bronco Sport is the four-door Bronco. While its starting price is just north of $30,000, we’d suggest splurging on the Badlands trim, which costs a comparable $38,935 and gets you a zesty, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 245 horsepower. Not only is it practical enough to be a daily driver, but the Bronco Sport is also an absolute off-roading menace—and would literally leave the Acadia in the dust (and dirt, mud, snow, lava, etc.).
