What should I do if my lender says I paid off my car loan, but I didn't?
"Four months ago, I made a car loan payment. A week later, the money was back in my account.
When I called my credit union, they said the loan was paid off in full. But I didn't do it. Every month, I send in money, and the same return keeps happening.
What should I do?"

“You need to go into your credit union branch immediately and talk to someone to get this squared away ASAP.
Because you haven’t paid off your loan, it’s only a matter of time before the credit union realizes the error.
They should have records of when the loan was paid off as well as a canceled check or the bank account information of whoever paid it off.”
