We’re sorry to hear you’re having minivan issues! Unfortunately, sliding door issues are not a new problem for the
Chrysler Town and Country
. In fact, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) just concluded a probe in 2021 on the 2016 Town and Country (along with the 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan
) after receiving 365 complaints from Chrysler minivan owners, stating that one or both sliding doors would not open—forcing rear seat passengers to exit through the front doors. But it’s not just the 2016 models—after the NHTSA began its investigation, a Chrysler class action lawsuit soon followed. The lawsuit included 2013-2016 Chrysler Town and Country models accusing the automaker of equipping their minivans with a faulty door latch system. While the 2010 Chrysler Town and Country isn’t included in this lawsuit, we’d recommend taking your vehicle to your local Chrysler dealership or repair shop to get your sliding door issue resolved.
