A sliding door that won’t open is a big frustration, especially when you have people and things to haul! But there’s a chance that the stuck sliding door on your 2002
or body shop, check your sliding door’s fuse. Something as simple—and inexpensive—as a blown fuse will only take a few minutes to fix.
Try swapping out the sliding door fuse with another of your van’s fuses to test it out. If the door works with the swapped-in fuse, then you just need to go buy a new one!
But if your van door still won’t budge, you’ll need to do some more digging. Take a look at the sliding door’s tracks. If they’re dirty and gunky, they could stop your van’s power door from working. Getting the tracks cleaned and lubricated might fix your door.
If that doesn’t work, either, then you should try a hard reset of your van’s power sliding door. Here’s how to do it:
Turn your ignition on.
Locate the power sliding door control switch on the lower left part of your dash, and set it to the Off position.
Push the sliding door to the open position.
Turn your power sliding door control switch back to the On position.
