What rental car insurance do I need if I'm renting a vehicle with a Capital One Visa?
I will be paying for the rental car with my Capital One Visa. I don't own a car, so I don't have my own car insurance. Should I get the insurance the rental car company offers or is there another option?

“While rental car companies offer their own insurance, you do have other options.
You should look into what coverage your credit card offers when you use it to purchase a rental. Typically, it’ll provide primary or secondary coverage. You’ll want to read your terms and conditions to see which one it is.
Another option is a
non owners car insurance
policy. This is designed to cover anyone without their own vehicle who rents or borrows cars on occasion. You should take the time to compare coverage levels and costs between these options. From there, you’ll be able to make the best decision.
