It seems that many lawmakers across the world are passing legislation to ban the production of gas-powered cars by a certain date. With this in mind, what percentage of cars will be electric in 10 years?

It’s hard to know exactly what the future holds, but there are a few different projections we can look at when it comes to predicting the future of electric cars.
Many automakers have
set goals to have an electric-only fleet by 2030
, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that all cars will be electric. Some analysts predict that as more automakers shift to making electric vehicles, as much as a quarter of new sales could be electric by 2035. Still, that would mean only 13% of all cars would be electric. That number seems small, but it’s important to note that older gas-powered cars can last for 10 to 20 years.
