What kind of oil does a Honda CRV take?

I just got a used CRV, and it didn’t come with a manual. I am not sure about the maintenance it had before, so I would like to give it an oil change. What kind of oil does a Honda CRV take?

There are often a few unanswered questions when you
buy a used car
. Fortunately, this one has an easy answer!
Honda CRV takes synthetic, premium-grade 0W-20 detergent oil. The manufacturer also recommends that the oil be API certified and that the preferred brand be Genuine Honda Motor Oil.
The oil capacity for a
Honda CRV
is 3.4-3.7 quarts, so plan on buying four quarts of oil for your oil change. If you buy the recommended brand, that will run you about $25.
