What is waiting time for the driving test?

Today I took my driving test—I totally blew it on the backing up portion at the end so I failed. Is there a certain amount of time I have to wait to take the test again?

We’re sorry you didn’t pass! Failing the driving test can be a major sore spot—but don’t worry, you can give it another try once you feel ready, just be sure to check your state’s policy on waiting time to retake the test.
Not all states impose a waiting period. For instance, in New York and Pennsylvania, you’re allowed to retake the test the very next day—while in states like Connecticut, you must wait two weeks before trying again.
There’s also a waiting period for learning permit holders. Many states require a waiting period of 120 to 180 days from the day you obtain your learner’s permit to take the driving test. This ensures that you have sufficient time to practice.
