manufacturer warranty includes 4 years or 50,000 miles of bumper-to-bumper coverage. This consists of basic coverage, as well as a powertrain warranty. Keep in mind that the Volkswagen factory warranty changed in recent years, so these numbers only apply to vehicles with the model year 2020 and newer. In 2018 and 2019, every new VW included 6 years or 72,000 miles of bumper-to-bumper full mechanical and electrical breakdown protection. Prior to 2018, the VW warranty only included 3 years or 36,000 miles of coverage.
Although the current VW warranty isn’t as long as it was in previous years, it’s still pretty good compared to other vehicle manufacturers.
