What is the Washington speed limit?

I was planning on going to Spokane to see my alma mater—Gonzaga— play St. Mary’s in a West Coast Conference basketball showdown. I haven’t been back in years, so I want to make sure that I don’t get a speeding ticket on my way to or from the game. What’s the speed limit in Washington?

While
Spokane
will have its own posted speed limits, the
Washington
speed limit is 75 mph maximum. This only applies to rural stretches of the interstate, so pay attention to posted speed limits whenever possible.
Other speed limits within Washington include:
  • 60 mph on Washington State Highways
  • 50 mph on county roads
  • 25 mph in residential areas, city streets, and business districts
  • 20 mph in school zones
