What kind of warranty does my 2016 Subaru Forester have? I’ve been having some problems with the engine recently and I’m not sure if repairs will be covered or not.
The basic factory warranty, which covers any defective parts for three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first.
The powertrain warranty, which covers defective parts of the powertrain for five years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first.
If you bought your Subaru recently enough, it’s definitely possible that one or both of these warranties is still in place and will help you pay for repairs. To learn more about your options, you’ll need to talk to your dealer.
