That’s pretty incredible, especially considering that the Mustang Mach-E is entirely electric.
The Mustang brand is synonymous with power, and many were skeptical that the all-electric version could carry the Mustang legacy. But, the Mach going electric doesn’t mean sacrificing power.
Here’s a look at how the Mach-E stacks up to previous gas-engine models:

- 1969 Mustang Mach 1 428 Super Cobra: 111 mph
- 1973 Mustang Mach 1 351: 130 mph
- 1978 Mustang 2 Cobra: 100 mph
- 1983 Mustang GT 5.0 V8: 126 mph
- 1993 Mustang SVT Cobra R 5.0 V8: 150 mph
- 1999 Mustang FR 500: 168 mph
- 2006 Mustang Shelby GT500: 170 mph
- 2012 Mustang Shelby GT500: 202 mph
So, while the Mach-E isn’t quite as fast as previous gas-powered models, it’s still very much a Mustang. Enthusiasts can rest assured the electric Mustang will only get faster and faster.
