What is the Pennsylvania speed limit?

I’m heading to Pennsylvania to see a Penn State game against my beloved Fighting Illini. I’ve never driven through Pennsylvania before, so I want to make sure I don’t get a speeding ticket. What’s the speed limit in Pennsylvania?

Big 10 matchups are always the best, but if you don’t want to get a speeding ticket, note that the
Pennsylvania
speed limit is 70 mph. This speed limit applies to the interstate only and is often only used in sparsely populated or rural areas.
When you’re in Pennsylvania, you should also observe these other speed limits:
  • 65 mph to 70 mph on state highways and U.S. highways
  • 35 mph in urban areas
  • 25 mph in residential areas
  • 15 mph to 20 mph in school zones
