What is the curfew for teen drivers in Ohio?

My daughter has had her license for a couple of months and I’ve noticed her tendency to come home well past midnight on the weekends. I let her know that there’s a curfew for underage teen drivers and she insisted that it’s only in effect Monday through Friday. I’d like to know what is the actual curfew for teens driving in Ohio?

When your child has the keys, sometimes you need to tighten the leash. The curfew for teen drivers in
Ohio
is between midnight and 6 a.m. for those under 18. This is the case the first year they have their license.
Underage
teens
can, however, drive during this window if they’re with a parent or guardian or if they’re commuting to work, school, a religious function, or an emergency situation.
If you get your license at 17, the curfew relaxes—just don’t drive between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.
The curfew restriction is part of Ohio’s Graduated Drivers Licensing (GDL) policy, which requires minor
teen drivers
to hold a
probationary license
before being granted full driving privileges.
Aside from the state-imposed curfew, you can stay safe by purchasing good
