What is the curfew for permit drivers in Florida?

My son just received his driving permit in Jacksonville. He’s been responsible thus far, so I’m not worried too much. I’m more nervous about other drivers, especially at night. Does Florida have a curfew for permit drivers?

Driving in any big city is tough, even for experienced drivers. The good news is that
Florida
has some stringent laws regarding young drivers and curfew.
The curfew for permit drivers in Florida is daylight hours only for the first three months of driving. After three months, 16-year-old drivers have a curfew from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Upon turning 17, the curfew is 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. At 18, all restrictions are lifted.
Permit drivers are still inexperienced, even if they do well abiding by the rules of the road. As a safeguard, be sure to have a solid car insurance policy in place to protect them. But that doesn’t mean you have to spend a ton. Instead, use the
