So I’m pretty sure I’ll be meeting my girlfriend’s parents soon, as we’ve been dating for a few months now. I’m in the market for a new car, and I want to get something that will look really impressive—but I don’t have the biggest budget. What’s the cheapest Audi SUV?

Now considering you want to impress your significant other’s parents on the cheap, you’ll be looking at the Premium 40 trim, which is the base trim—and therefore the most affordable.
Still, the Premium 40 features plenty to show off, including:
- LED headlights with auto high beam-assist
- 18-inch wheels
- Power liftgate
- Panoramic sunroof
- Leather upholstery
- 8.8-inch touchscreen
- Power-adjustable and heated front seats
- Triple zone automatic climate control
The Q3 Premium 40 sports a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 184 horsepower. Now, if you heard through the grapevine that there’s a more powerful engine for the Q3, you’d be right—the Premium 45 trim sports the same engine tuned to 228 horsepower. However, considering the Premium 45 Q3 costs more than $2,000 extra, you’ll probably want to stick with the Premium 40..
You’ll be able to wow your girlfriend and her parents with the Q3’s glittering infotainment touchscreen, which features standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability. But hold your horses, because it won’t have the 12.3-inch touchscreen—that’s only available on the Q3’s higher trims. You’ll have to get by with the standard 8.8-inch touchscreen.
Now, winter is coming, so lucky you, your Q3 has power-adjustable and heated front seats. But if your in-laws come along for the ride, they won’t be treated to heated rear seats on this trim.
