What is the cause of my 2011 Hyundai Elantra ticking noise?
I have a 2011 Hyundai Elantra. It’s never really given me problems in the past, but all of sudden, it’s making a horrendous ticking noise. Where is the ticking noise coming from?

Identifying a ticking noise isn’t easy on most cars, but the 2011 Hyundai Elantra has a common problem. Most likely, the cause of the 2011 Hyundai Elantra ticking noise is low oil pressure and failure to use a genuine Hyundai oil filter.
To fix this issue, top off the engine and order a true Hyundai oil filter either online or from a local dealership. This should amend the issue and put the ticking to a stop.
If the ticking persists, take your vehicle to the shop. It may cost a few bucks, but a proper diagnosis can help you avoid additional damage to your vehicle.
