The BMW warranty period is similar to many other European luxury automakers’. It lasts 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. This includes your basic warranty, which covers bumper-to-bumper issues, as well as the powertrain warranty, which covers all of your engine, transmission, and axel components.
You can also add an extended warranty, which can cover your car up to 7 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
