What is the BMW maintenance warranty?
My BMW is acting up and I only have the maintenance warranty. I’m not sure what it covers. Can you clarify what the BMW maintenance warranty covers?

Sorry to hear about your car! The BMW maintenance warranty covers all factory-recommended maintenance services.
Covered services include:
- Wiper blade inserts
- Brake discs
- Brake pads
In addition, most BMW warranties should cover manufacturer defects or damage—but not normal wear and tear. So, if any parts of your vehicle are found to be defective from no fault of your own, BMW will cover replacement costs for new or reconditioned parts. In most cases, labor costs will be included.
If you feel this is not sufficient, you can opt for BMW Ultimate Care, which includes scheduled maintenance for three years or 36,000 miles. Keep in mind that this warranty is non-transferrable, though.
The smart move is to contact your dealership or the manufacturer to confirm what each warranty covers. This is especially important as BMW offers several options.
