Both the cold air intake and an aftermarket exhaust will increase the performance of your car however a new cold air intake will be more cost-effective.
Basic cold air intakes can start as low as $30-$100. However, if you want to splurge and see a decent increase in your horsepower, expect to spend between $100-$300. Here are some of the benefits of an aftermarket cold air intake:

- Better gas milage
- Robust engine sound
- Reusable intake filers
A new and increased exhaust system will cost around $1,200—the cost can be higher depending on parts and labor in your area. An aftermarket exhaust will also improve gas mileage, but it creates a much louder engine sound than the cold air intake modification.
