will depend on the time of year and the weather due to seasonal road closures
, so you should always check the National Park Service (NPS) website before starting your drive. Since you’re traveling during the summer, you will likely be able to take the following route:- Follow Highway 120 east from Yosemite to Benton
- Turn left onto US-6 E towards Tacopah and cross the border into Nevada
- Follow US-6 E and US-95 S to Las Vegas
If you encounter road closures due to bad weather (or you decide to make the trip in late fall, winter, or early spring), you will need to follow a more circuitous route:
- From Yosemite, take Highway 41 south to Fresno
- Take Highway 99 south to Bakersfield
- Take Highway 58 east to Barstow
- Take I-15 north to Las Vegas
