What is the 2017 Jeep Renegade oil type?

I just bought my daughter a 2017 Jeep Renegade. I’ve discussed the importance of car maintenance with her, but I also want to show her how to change the oil. What type of oil do I need for a 2017 Jeep Renegade?

Using the right oil will improve performance and help you avoid engine damage. The 2017
Jeep Renegade
oil type is either SAE 0W-20 or SAE 5W-40, but it depends on the engine.
If your Jeep Renegade has a 1.4-liter turbo-four engine, use 4 quarts of 5W-40 motor oil. But if you own a Renegade with a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine, use 5.5 quarts 0W-20 motor oil.
In either case, you should use full synthetic oil. It’s the preferred choice of Jeep, provides better fuel economy and performance, and takes you up to 7,500 miles between oil changes. A synthetic blend is acceptable, but you won’t get the same performance and you only have 5,000 miles between oil changes.
