What is the 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid brake system problem?

The automatic brake system (ABS) module on my 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid has been acting up a lot lately. Is this a widespread problem that I should be worried about?

You’re right to be concerned. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has received almost 60 complaints about the 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid brake system. It looks like the electrical starter begins to fail after the 36,000-mile warranty expires.
CarComplaints.com rates this problem as Beware, because it happens when there aren’t many miles on the car. Most reviewers note that the failing electrical system affects the antilock brake system as well as the parking brake indicator lights. In several cases, drivers weren’t able to brake!
An important side note: the NHTSA did recall the 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid for a faulty propulsion system. Contact Honda’s customer service to see if your vehicle was included in the recall.
