What is mid-range drinking and driving?

I don’t really understand mid-range drinking and driving. What’s the difference between that and regular drinking and driving? Is one of them worse?

It’s an ambiguous term, so it’s understandable that you’re confused! Mid-range
drinking and driving
is driving with a BAC between 0.08 to 0.149. It essentially means that you are over the middle alcohol limit but under the high alcohol limit.
While you are over the legal alcohol limit either way, mid-range drinking and driving isn’t as bad as drinking and driving with a BAC over 0.149. At that point, you will be severely impaired and will pose an even greater threat to yourself and others on the road.
