One of the cars I’m considering for my next vehicle is labeled as having Level 3 autonomous driving, but I don’t really know what that means. Do Level 3 cars drive themselves?

Level 3 autonomous driving is the closest modern-day vehicles get to full self-driving. If your car is equipped with Level 3 autonomous driving, you’ll be able to take your eyes off of the road and your hands off of the wheel for short periods of time in safe driving conditions.
Even with Level 3 autonomous driving, however, you should still pay attention to the road whenever possible in case
and take back control of the car at any point. Self-driving technology hasn’t been perfected yet, so it’s important to remain alert.
