What is ICE regarding electric cars?

I have been seeing this term when looking up electric cars, but I wasn’t really sure if it was a component of an electric car’s inner system or something else. What is ICE regarding electric cars?

ICE is actually an acronym for referring to an Internal Combustion Engine vehicles. These are your traditional vehicles that require gasoline and have an engine, not a motor.
When referring to cars, companies have to be specific since the umbrella term no longer refers to the traditional vehicle. A traditional car—also known as a
internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle
—undergoes a combustion (burning) process in the engine.
Combustion is a process that allows energy to be related to the burning of a fuel, which, in this case, is gasoline. Until fairly recently this was the only type of car available on the market, but with the introduction of EVs, which run on battery-powered motors instead of engines or a combination of both, specificity is important.
