What is covered under the Chrysler lifetime powertrain warranty?
I’m trying to decide which warranty to get for my new Chrysler. There are a ton of options, but I’m leaning toward the lifetime powertrain warranty. What does the Chrysler lifetime powertrain warranty cover?

Chrysler makes great cars! The Chrysler lifetime powertrain warranty covers the cost of all parts and labor that are necessary to fix powertrain components. The components must be included on the list provided by Chrysler, and the defect(s) must be in materials or workmanship.
The powertrain warranty does not cover repairs to other areas of the vehicle, such as those unassociated with the engine, drive axle, transmission, turbocharger, etc. It also excludes:
- Anything cosmetic
- Electrical components
- Steering components
- Air conditioning components
- Suspension
- Brakes
- Cooling system components
- Fuel system components
- And more
Chrysler offers a basic limited warranty and anti-corrosion perforation limited warranty, as well. If you can afford both (or even just one), most accounts claim the protection is well worth the upfront cost. While you could save money by skipping them, you may just end up paying even more down the road.
