What rental insurance do I need to purchase? I'm renting a car to drive from Texas to the Grand Canyon. I want full coverage on the vehicle.

“If you already have a full coverage policy through your current
car insurance
company, the same coverage should apply to your rental vehicle. Full coverage is generally considered to include liability insurance,
collision coverage
, and comprehensive coverage. If you only have
liability insurance
on your policy or don’t have car insurance, you can purchase additional coverage through the rental car company. Adding the collision damage waiver would constitute as full coverage on a rental car. If you plan on purchasing the rental car with your credit card, you may also have full coverage on the vehicle. You’ll want to confirm with your credit card company that you have rental car benefits.”
