What is a slammed Fiat 500?

My son is asking if he can get his Fiat 500 ‘slammed.’ What in the world does that mean? What is a slammed Fiat 500?

Unless you’re into car mods, there’s no reason you’d know! A slammed
Fiat 500
is a Fiat 500 that has been modified to be lower to the ground, or slammed.
Any car can be slammed—not just Fiats. A slammed car has been modified to sit just inches (or less) above the ground. The name comes from the new appearance of the car, which appears to be slammed into the ground!
A car can be slammed by putting the wheels at a slant, using lowering springs, or installing a hydraulics system to raise and lower the car.
While slammed cars have their popularity in the modding community, being that low to the ground can easily damage your ride. Plus, slammed cars are not legal in every state, so you could face tickets or fines.
Instead of modding your car, why don’t you modify your
car insurance
policy?
