I need to master the K-turn to pass my driving test, but I don’t remember going over it with my instructor. What is a K-turn in a driving test and how do I perform it?

Also known as a three-point turn or a Y-turn, a K-turn on a driving test is a way to turn the vehicle around or in the other direction. Typically, you only perform a K-turn if you have no other option, but some states require it on their official driving exam.
To perform a K-turn during your driving test, follow these directions:
Pull toward the right side of the road you’re on, checking your mirrors while you do so.
Come to a stop on the side of the road, then check your rearview mirror, side mirror, and blindspots again.
Turn the steering wheel all the way to the left, and slowly move forward until you reach the edge of the lane.
Put the car in reverse, turn the steering wheel all the way to the right, and back up slowly until you have enough room to go forward.
Put the car back in drive and move forward to complete the K-turn.
It’s surprisingly easy if you make sure to look in your mirrors and relax. If you can manage the K-turn and pass your test, congrats!
