If you get caught driving with a suspended license, it could lead to penalties including fines and imprisonment, depending on what type of violation led to the suspension. The sentence would be more severe for repeat offenders.
Note that by law, police officers cannot stop you without a valid reason, such as speeding or reckless driving. However, I do not recommend taking the chance as you could risk getting your license revoked if you are caught.
If you believe that your license was suspended without a valid reason, you can seek legal counsel to fight the charge and potentially get your license reinstated. Most lawyers will offer a free consultation to talk through your options, but if you decide to take the case to court, the process can be costly.
For your appointment next week, the best idea is to ask someone to drive you or call an Uber or Lyft to avoid getting caught driving with a suspended license.
