What happens if I get in an accident in someone else's car?

I drive my friend's car to get to work. While the car is insured, I'm not on the policy. What happens if I get into an accident and I'm not on the policy?

“As long as you have your friend’s permission to drive the vehicle, their
car insurance
will likely cover you in the event of an accident, even if you’re not on the policy.
