Hey, we’re happy to help! So let’s give you a brief and honest tour of a Toyota Prius
interior. First and foremost, let’s state the obvious: the Toyota Prius interior is way, way smaller than what you’re used to from an SUV. The Prius provides 27.4 cubic feet of cargo space in the rear, or 50.7 cubic feet with the rear seats down. That’ll feel cramped compared with most SUVs. But the seating does feel comfortable and roomy, even for taller people.
The Prius’ weakest interior link has to be the simple styling. Toyota saved money here, making way for the pricey drivetrain, and it shows. That’s not to say the Prius has a cheap or shoddy interior. It’s just a bit plain and lacking some of the gravitas of other cars in this price range.
The Prius has a seven-inch infotainment screen, or an optional 11.6-inch vertically-oriented one that’s very similar to what newer Subaru
vehicles are using. On the whole, a Prius’ interior may not be as pleasing aesthetically as the insides of some newer cars, but it’s quite comfortable, and given its hatchback status we find it to be highly functional as well.
